The Annual Delaware Senior Olympics are underway! Several hundred senior athletes are competing in their favorite sports during September and October! Registration for this year is now closed. Come watch some of the events!

Senior Olympics 2007 Annual Games Revised Schedule of Events

The Senior Lo-Del Volleyball League has entered all 6 of its teams in the Delaware Annual Games.

The teams have been playing on Thursday nights this summer at Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown. Standing: Doris Brown, Phyllis Moore, Nancy Hess, Anita Angeny, Grace Pesikey, Fran Fisher, Pat Sherman, Dorcy Wilkins, Regina Simon, Robyn Kirby, Maggie McNeil, Mimi Peters, Janis Dillard, Willa Jones, Mary Riale. Kneeling: Marion Lisehora, Georgia Billger, Sue West, Delores Blakey, Harriet Mair, Carolyn Roach, Ronnie Cronin, Karen Lewis, Judy Stevenson, Lenda DiFulgentis, Katie Brown, Judy Duerr. The Pennsylvania Senior Games were held in York on July 26.

delaware volleyball team wins in york pa tournament

The Delaware First Staters 65+ volleyball team won the gold medal by defeating Pennsylvania Net Set 2-1 in the Championship game. Back: Mandy Bouvier, Georgia Billger, Harriet Mair. Front: Delores Blakey, Marion Lisehora, Judy Stevenson.

A new beginner volleyball class for women 45 and older will be held at Sussex Central Middle School in Georgetown on Tuesday nights starting September 11.
