Fred Rohm – Table Tennis Coordinator
Fred Rohm started playing serious table tennis at age 23. He was a member of the Uof D team that finished 3rd in the national intercollegiate Table Tennis Tournament. He was considered in the top 50 in the country before retiring.
Fred re-entered the Delaware Senior Olympics Table Tennis competition, at age 59, and won the DSO tournament, in his age group, four years straight. A Uof D graduate, a retired Naval officer, Fred is the non-profit Executive Manager of the Frederica Senior Center.
Table Tennis: The DSO table tennis tournament is typically played in October at the Newark Table Tennis Club. The club has 12 tables available for our use.
Players are divided by age groups.
DSO age groups in Singles. Sometimes ages are mixed to create doubles teams.
Players come from all skill levels assuring that everyone will have a chance to win or just being able to say they played a champ.
The event starts around 6:30PM and ends by 9PM. USATT rules are used.
