DSO 2010 Outstanding Athlete
Outstanding Athlete Award
Dorothy began participating in The Delaware Senior Olympic Games in 1994. She participates in golf and in singles, doubles and mixed doubles in bowling. She has won numerous medals in both sports at the state level. Some of her matches in bowling have been very close and on two occasions decided by one pin! Although sidelined by shoulder surgery and a knee replacement, she continues to bowl and golf successfully. She holds the DSO record score in golf for the 60-64 age category. She competed in the National Senior Games in Hampton Roads, Louisville and Palo Alto and with husband Jim won a fourth place ribbon in Louisville and fifth place ribbons in Hampton Roads and Palo Alto in mixed doubles. In the 2010 Delaware Senior Games she bowled her way to a gold medal in mixed doubles and bronze medals in doubles and singles. For her successes on both the State and National levels DSO awards Dorothy Kerr with its 2010 Outstanding Athlete Award.
