Walk Delaware Couple Honored
Gail and Don Greene of Country House retirement community in Wilmington recently received an award from the Delaware Senior Olympics for their participation in the "Walk Delaware" program. They each walked more than 450 miles last year, which is the highest level one can receive in the program.
They received a certificate and pin from the Delaware Senior Olympics for their accomplishment.
Country House will celebrate "National Senior Health and Fitness Day" on May 28.

Birmingham to host 2017 National Senior Games, thousands of athletes, spectators expected
The Senior Games are billed as the world's largest sporting event for people over 50, attracting thousands of competitors and spectators.
The games began in 1987 in St. Louis and are played every two years.
